In this sermon, Pastor Debbie asks us to remember that if life feels like a Friday – the day days you get the news, the reality you can’t change, the worst days. Or a Saturday – the day you see the reality, that what you had was gone and this is the world we now have to live in. We must have faith that Sunday is coming! And then life goes on, Monday comes, and the pain remains but we persist, one step at a time. Confident that Jesus is our bright hope for tomorrow. We can stand on the foundation of his love and meet the challenges as they come to us.

“Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb… Jesus said to her, ‘Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” ’ Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, ‘I have seen the Lord’; and she told them that he had said these things to her. “–John 20: 17-18
